Stray: Suicide 1971
Ginza
"'Suicide"' was the second album by England"'s Stray, following hot on the heels of the eponymous debut from earlier the same year. They became one of the most consistent and popular bands of the 70s, and trod a fine line between hard rock, prog, and harmony-driven boogie. Their powerful playing, hook-laden melodies and accomplished harmonies appealing equally to all three audiences. You may call it a cocktail of King Crimson and Black Sabbath with some Grand Funk. There is some fantastic jamming hard rock on this album and some great crunching lead guitar. Stray were a very underrated band with quality songs and superb guitar work.
