Yûsaku Matsuda stars in this Japanese action trilogy directed by Tôru Murakawa. Hitman Shohei Narumi (Matsuda)'s world is one of conspiracies, betrayal and corruption from which there is no escape. In 'The Most Dangerous Game' (1978) he is hired by Kohinata (Asao Uchida) to rescue his son-in-law who has been kidnapped by the Godai Conglomerate, but that isn't all Kohinata wants from Narumi... 'The Killing Game' (1979) finds Narumi forced out of retirement and caught up in a gang war between two rival yakuza clans, while chance meetings with two women from his past pull him deeper back into his old life. Finally, in 'The Execution Game' (1979) Narumi is betrayed, abducted and tortured and then hired by his aggressors to take out another veteran assassin.
