While researching my ancestor's immigration, I became interested in the lived experience of individuals coming to a new country, and not understanding the spoken language or culture. This autobiography combines a philosophical perspective that builds on phenomenological research methodology. The title of the book has a metaphorical meaning, conveying the connection between language and culture.
