Waterboys: Fisherman"'s blues
Ginza
180 gram vinyl. Original artwork. Led by the literate singer/songwriter Mike Scott, the group"'s sole constant member, The Waterboys formed in London in 1983. The band has played in a number of different styles, but most often their music can be described as a mix of Celtic folk music with rock and roll, or folk rock. Fisherman"'s Blues was The Waterboys"' best-selling album. It marked a change in the sound for the band, abandoning their earlier grandiose rock sound for a mixture of traditional Irish music, traditional Scottish music, country music and rock and roll. It contains the cover of a song by Van Morrison ""Sweet Thing"", originally from Morrison"'s 1968 album, Astral Weeks.
