Den är en spin-off av The Big Bang Theory och följer Sheldon Cooper vid en ålder av nio, när han bor med sin familj i East Texas och går i gymnasiet. Iain Armitage spelar den unga Sheldon. The show follows the child genius as he begins attending high school in East Texas but finds himself struggling to fit in with those around him.
