Trackimo GPS Tracker uses GSM cell phone network to send over the internet the information from the GPS tracker to the app. In the US, the T-Mobile network is used to provide cell coverage. Trackimo Mini Dog Tracker is a 2G tracker and will work perfectly as long T-Mobile network is available. If you are not in a metropolitan area whereby T-Mobile does not have a good coverage or if you are in Canada, we recommend that you get the Guardian 3G GPS tracker which come with a special pouch for a pet. This device should work anywhere your cell phone works but coverage cannot be 100% guaranteed. Your pet can be located anywhere in the world using the 2G GSM cell network (except for 50% of the US, Canada, Japan, Korea, Singapore, Australia).
