In 'Barefoot in the Park' (1967), Corie (Jane Fonda) and Paul (Redford) are newlyweds who begin living together and quickly find their dreams of domesticity don't tally. She loves their top-floor apartment with the leaky sky-light - he can't cope with the stairs; she wants to party - he, exhausted after a day at the office, just wants to sleep. The situation is further complicated by the arrival of Fonda's mother and her fling with the newlyweds' neighbour.
